Suppose you’re looking for Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Hungarian, Polish, and Romanian language courses in Delhi. In that case, there is only one option — the Department of Slavonic & Finno-Ugrian Studies (SFUS) at the University of Delhi.
Eastern European languages such as Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Hungarian, Polish, and Romanian are not as popular as French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, German, and Russian.
Slavic languages cover Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Central Europe, and Russia’s territories, including northern and north-central Asia.
More than 320 million people speak Slavic languages. Still, the individual Slavic languages are considerably less differentiated than Germanic and Romance languages despite a large extent.
Nearly all European tongues belong to the Indo-European language family, broken into the Romance, Germanic, Baltic, Slavic, Celtic and Greek branches.
Slavic languages are the third most popular and widely spoken after Romance (French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, etc.) and Germanic (English, German, Dutch, etc.).

SFUS at Delhi university is the only Department in India that conducts classes in Slavonic languages such as Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Polish, Russian, Hungarian. All from the Finno-Ugrian group of languages.
