Sir, If I study the German language at the private institute, can I get a job?
Possible. But mostly, it is an individual effort, and most known centers can only guide/update you about new openings.
Sir, can you please suggest the best private institution in Delhi to learn German from? Also, how many years would it take me to complete the course?
Max Mueller Bhavan is the top choice. There are a few other good choices like Language Pantheon, The German Language School, and German Language Circle. The duration depends on the level you wish to achieve. For example, it may take 2 years to complete B2 of the Goethe-Zertifikat, but it varies depending on your engagement with the language.
SIR, DU certificate, diploma and advanced diploma in German are of which level? Like A1-C2. And what is the cost of the German language exam until B2?
DU part-time courses are not based on the CEFR model. Thus, it isn’t the same as A1, A2, etc. Some do say Advanced Diploma is close to B1, but that still isn’t exactly accurate. The fee for A1 to B2 varies between 5,200 to 7,600 for Max Mueller students and 7600 to 12,400 for external students.
My son wants to do MBBS in Germany. Kindly intimate which German language course is good to get admission for MBBS in Germany.
That depends on the medium of language.
If the course is in English, it might not be compulsory to learn German though it will be beneficial in the long run. He can at least aim for Goethe-Zertifikat B1. If it is imparted in German, then he needs near-native level proficiency. That will take 3-4 years. But he can also earn scholarships which might not be available with courses that are taught in English.
Hello Sir,
Thank you for the informative blog. It inspires language learners. Currently, I am pursuing MBA in Mumbai but the specialisation is yet to be selected. Furthermore, I am more interested in the German language and have completed B1 from Goethe institute. I have commerce background but still confused about which specialisation I should opt so that I will get to use both language knowledge and MBA skills.
Kindly guide me in this.
This is quite subjective. There is no one specific specialization that suits best. International marketing, operations, finance, and entrepreneurship are some great alternatives.
I want to do a foreign language. Which should I go with? I am a school teacher. For future benefits, I want to know which will be best. Kindly help.
There is no best language. You can pick whatever you wish as per your understanding and interest. For a teaching career, French, German, Spanish, and Japanese are four top choices in India.
Hello Sir,
I’m working as a financial analyst and looking forward to learning German to move out of India and settle in Europe by obtaining a work permit. Can you advise if I should take an online course?
Since institutes are not conducting regular classes, thus, you can start learning in online mode. Find a German teacher.
I need a German tutor for my son. He is in class 12th and needs B2 proficiency. Kindly advise me duration and fee.
You can find a German teacher through local classified ads like Justdial, UrbanPro, or any nearby tuition bureau. You can also consider enrolling at one of the German learning centers.
Sir, I want to do a course for the DU advanced diploma in German. Please suggest some good coaching institutes for that.
I’m not sure if there is any institute in Delhi with a specialized DU course. You can join any German learning center or find an experienced teacher who can cover the syllabus. Good Luck!
I want to learn the German language. Please suggest the center for me.
While Max Mueller Bhavan is the best choice, you can also consider Language Pantheon, GLS, and GLC.
I am looking for a Ph.D. program in Germany. Can you please tell me upto which level german language need for admission and which institute is good?
If the course will be taught in English, then lower intermediate B1 is okay. If, however, you want to cover some German aspect and wish to work there, then C1 is desirable.
Sir, these institutes provide any placements also?
Mostly NO. In the end, you have to find a job on own though few centres can guide you.
Sir, I am planning to masters abroad and for that, I need to learn the German language. Are there any DU colleges where I can complete my course within 3 months and move to foreign?
No. You can join any private institute and try to cover at least the beginners level in 3 months.
What type of gobs do we get after learning the French Language?
Read some of the articles in the career and jobs section.
Is French and Spanish language beneficial for b.sc maths hons. graduates and now I am preparing for Cat and B-School entrance exam. I want to learn Spanish or French and what is the total cost of learning from DU? Is this language beneficial for MBA or not?
No. It is not beneficial for BSc Maths Hons. I think it would be better for you to concentrate on the entrance test. Once you get the admission in MBA, you can join any part-time French or Spanish course as per location and feasibility. DU part-time language courses are not good for everyone.
Sir, when will be the admission start in Venkateswara college for a certificate course in German and I have to do a certificate course, diploma and advanced diploma in a row and what is the fee? Please suggest me sir.
The admission procedure might start in May or June and at that time College will update about fees. The fee is usually affordable.
Sir What will be cutoff for German language in 2019?
I guess you want to know about BA in German? While it is difficult to predict but usually it will be more than 85% aggregate.
Hi sir could you please tell me to pursue language course from private institute is better or from govt university is more better and what is more better certification/Diploma course please give your best suggestion.
You can choose between a 3-year Advanced Diploma Course from any DU affiliated College or enroll in any good German institute with a goal to complete Goethe Zertifikat Deutsch B2. Both options are fine. If you can afford higher fees then the private institute is usually better as far as quality of teaching is concerned.
Sir what is the difference in short term course and normal course. And which one is better?
The duration of entire language courses are usually between 2 years to 5 years. The regular full-time courses like BA, MA in the language concerned are offered by many Colleges and Universities whereas private institutes divide the complete course at various levels and one level is usually around a few months and is essentially part-time.
Obviously Full-time regular courses are better. If however, you cannot join any regular course, you can enroll in part-time short term courses but do study for at least 3 years for meaningful advantage.

Sir, am I able to do study in Germany of it, after 12th. Like bachelor, master, Ph.D., and all in German language in Germany.
One more thing sir if I do an advanced diploma in German (C1:C2 level) so after that, I can do a direct master’s or need to complete a bachelor’s degree for a master’s? And couldn’t find the college even on daad. can you please tell me 4 5 colleges of it? Please, sir. 🥺🥺
BA + MA + Ph.D. in German is the most suitable approach to become a German assistant professor at any university. You can do a master’s in German after Advanced Diploma/C1 or C2, provided that you are a graduate and can crack the entrance test. I haven’t checked the list of universities, but there are several choices both in Germany and India. But you have a long time for that.
