Foreign Language Courses in Lucknow

1. English and Foreign Language University (EFLU)

The English and Foreign Language University (EFLU) is ranked among the top universities in India.

It offers high-quality language education and research and is home to eminent faculty.

EFLU is the only university in South Asia dedicated to foreign tongues.

An interdisciplinary study across multiple languages enables students to integrate foreign language, history, literature, and culture.

2. Language Courses in Lucknow University

Established in 1921, the University of Lucknow offers many possibilities for students who want to study a foreign language.

The faculty of Arts at LU allows students to study up to 5 foreign languages each year.

The language courses are offered through three departments:-

I) Department of English and European Languages

The Department of English and Modern European Languages has a rich tradition of high-level teaching and research, which continues today.

The department offers a one-year Certificate of Proficiency, a Diploma, and an Advanced Diploma in French, German, and Russian; a Bachelor’s degree in French; and Master’s degrees in French and Russian.

The language department has a well-equipped library and conducts workshops and events yearly.

II) Department of Arabic

The Department of Arabic Arts offers a range of outstanding programs and opportunities for students seeking to learn Arabic in India.

At present, the department offers Arabic (UG to Post Doctoral), Arab culture and civilization (UG to Post Doctoral), and Modern Arabic (PG Course), as well as proficiency certificates and Diplomas in Arabic and Modern Arabic.

III) Department of Persian

    There is one more institute IFLAPS situated in the heart of the city Hazra Lucknow. It was established in 1990. Dr. Anoop Anand is the Director of this institute of foreign languages and professional studies. He has taught French in EFLU Lucknow and established french in seven universities. At present, he is teaching French at Lohia University, National college JNPG, and many other colleges. He is Ph.D. in French and since lockdown has been teaching g French Russian and German online.

      You can try Koshika Foreign Language Academy though I’m not sure if they offer the course these days. I’m not aware of any other option to learn Thai in Lucknow. Perhaps, you can consider some online classes though it won’t be a diploma.

    Kudos for staring this blog, Vikash. I have learned Spanish in the past and passed the A1+ level from Colombia. I wish to continue to learn this language. However, the problem is that I travel in and out of Lucknow due to business engagements. Language learning is my love, so I wish to continue with it and also start learning Russian.
