Instituto Camões

The Portuguese Embassy Cultural Centre in New Delhi offers Portuguese programs for basic, intermediate, and advanced levels such as A1, A2, B1 as per Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), and Portuguese proficiency tests, i.e., CAPLE.

It is the go-to authority on Portuguese culture and language in New Delhi and NCR.

Instituto Camões runs two batches in a year (Jan and July). The classes are held thrice weekly, and a certificate is awarded to all the successful students.

It also employs native Portuguese teachers from Portugal, Brazil, and other parts of the world.

Right now the camões institute is not providing Portuguese classes offline and there online courses are not upto the mark . Like 28000 rupees for 12 online classes of 30 minutes each . Which one will you suggest after camões if i want to learn Portuguese or should i wait for more time to learn at camões only?

From where you got 28,000 INR for 12 classes? Their 1st level (A1) itself has 100 hours of teaching. I guess you saw their forever online courses? Try their regular courses that is shifted to the online mode if they are offering currently. Camões is definitely the best! You can also consider LangÉcole, though I’m not sure about the quality.

No. Diploma and B1/B2 are not comparable. If you want B1/B2 diploma, you can take CAPLE, conducted by Camões Institute, New Delhi.

We don’t offer any Portuguese courses. You can contact Camões Institute in Chanakyapuri. For the direct lateral entry, they might conduct an orientated test.

For courses and fee-related matters, contact the concerned learning center. It will usually take 2 years to achieve Upper-Intermediate competency in Portuguese. Read — Scope of Portuguese language.
