German – Max Mueller Bhavan, Spanish – Instituto Cervantes or Instituto Hispania, Japanese – MOSAI or Japan Foundation, and Korean – Korean Cultural Center. The choice of language is pretty subjective, and no language is “best.” Pick the one as per your goal, interest, duration, and understanding. The duration depends on the level you want to accomplish. For example, you can achieve upper-intermediate or advanced level proficiency in 2-4 years, depending on the language. East Asian languages are relatively more difficult than European ones.

Don’t believe everything you hear. While it is true that a significant majority of learners are Muslims, but that is more to do with the Quran and demography of West Asia and North Africa. If you wish to learn Arabic for whatever reason, go ahead. Arabic is a beautiful language and there is absolutely no religion barrier. This is true for all languages across the globe.

While all three are good options, JNU is probably the best. Ranked No. 1 Indian University for language education, research-oriented courses, almost free, collaboration with several foreign Universities, huge residential university, Vibrant campus life, eminent faculties are some of the reasons. Getting Admission is not that easy; you have to prepare well to crack JNUEE 2020.

Due to language complexity, Machine Translation can never replace human translators. There are words with dual meanings and also what works in one language does not necessarily work in another. Machine can’t relate words to context. In short, the future prospect for human translator is good.

No idea about Hindi/English translator as i only focus on foreign languages.

That will depend upon the nature of the job. If your job requires you to do the translation, interpretation, or meeting or talking to overseas client from Arab-world. Then you need to be fluent enough and beginners level knowledge is definitely not enough. I have rarely seen anyone achieving higher competence level in less than 3 years. In addition, there are too many Arabic varieties and dialects. However if for certain job, only basic conversation is needed, then Certificate level is ok.

You can try Zabaan Language Institute (Kailash Colony) and one of the NCPUL centre in Delhi. There are not many institutes offering Arabic course in Delhi. University session starts in July-Aug.
