If you want to pursue Italian language courses in Delhi University, you have two options.
You can choose either the Department of GRS through the Arts Faculty or one of the three Colleges offering a part-time certificate, diploma, and advanced diploma in Italian.
(i) Daulat Ram College, Maurice Nagar
Students can focus on the Italian course in Delhi at Daulat Ram College through the Center for Foreign Languages.
The center offers a one-year part-time certificate, diploma, and advanced diploma.
(ii) Ramjas College, University Enclave
In collaboration with the Departments of Germanic and Romance Studies, Ramjas College offers a one-year part-time Italian certificate.
(iii) St. Stephen College, University Enclave
The Center for Languages at St. Stephen’s College offers a one-year part-time certificate, diploma, and advanced diploma in Italian affiliated with the department of GRS at the University of Delhi.
(iv) Dept. of Germanic and Romance Studies
The University of Delhi is one name that has created a niche for being one of the best universities in the country for high-quality education, research, and eminent faculty.
The Department of Germanic and Romance Studies has offered various full-time Italian studies programs since 1995.
Students interested in a degree in Italian can earn a BA, MA, M.Phil, and Ph.D. in Italian at DU through the GRS department.
The Italian programs offer an interdisciplinary curriculum emphasizing literature, history, language, and culture.
UG and PG course admissions are made through cut-off marks and entrance tests.
2. JNU – CSPILAS

3. Jamia Millia Islamia – CELAS
The Centre for European and Latin American Studies (CELAS) at Jamia Millia Islamia offers a part-time certificate, diploma, and advanced diploma in Italian.
The duration of each course is one year.

Admission to the certificate course is through written tests (85%) and an Interview (15%). In contrast, students must have completed the certificate and diploma in Italian for the diploma and advanced diploma.
4. Italian Cultural Centre, New Delhi
Affiliated with the Italian Embassy in India, Istituto Di Cultura (Italian Culture Center) is situated in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. It is actively involved in promoting the Italian language, culture, and education in Italy.

The culture center actively organizes major events, concerts, and art exhibitions.
The Italian course structure follows the guidelines of CEFR and various Italian proficiency exams.
They have divided the entire course into six broad levels: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2, and further divided it into 2-3 sub-levels. Each sub-level is 54 hours long, and the fee is Rs. 9,500.

Italian Cultural Centre focuses greatly on speaking and listening sections.
I can read and write Russian but I don’t have a certificate. I want to do any online course from the cultural center. Do they have online courses?
